The Henry Martyn Library provides:

  • Over 8000 books on mission and World Christianity covering theology of mission, religious studies, cultural studies, mission history and biographies.

  • List of websites for mission research
  • Valuable collection of archives

The on-line computer link to the University of Cambridge Library offers WWW access to academic institutions and libraries throughout the world. Library users can browse a list of web sites for mission research. The HM Library catalogue is accessible via the Newton Catalogue of Cambridge University Library.

Page, Jessie, Henry Martyn: His Life and Labours (London, S.W. Partridge & Co.)Along with two other issues, this book was part of the series of Popular Missionary Biographies produced by Partridge & Co.  The volumes were a uniform size and the covers, although of different colours, were richly engraved with 'Dutch Gold' and contained a portrait of the subject of the biography.  They sold for one shilling and sixpence each

Montefiore, Arthur, H.M. Stanley: The African Explorer (London, S.W. Partridge & Co.) The frontispiece notes that this was the seventh edition of 38,000 copies.
